Charlie Touchette Executive Director

Hello, I am Charlie Touchette, NAFDMA's Executive Director. I live in Southampton, Massachusetts. I graduated from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMass where I focused on Animal Agriculture and Marketing. I have followed the marketing path and worked for the Massachusetts Department of Food and Agriculture, Bureau of Markets for a couple of years. My most focused interests and skills are in farm direct marketing and agricultural association development. Before coming to NAFDMA, I was Executive Director of the Federation of Massachusetts Farmers' Markets for twelve years. There, I managed, and promoted farmers' markets, facilitated efforts with New England agricultural groups, and coordinated educational conferences, including the 1996 NAFDMA Conference held in Saratoga Springs, New York. My wife, Marcia, and I are raising our two children, Alexander and Nicole on the same farm where I grew up. It is now a part-time 62-acre farm and wood lot, where we enjoy our livestock, nature, and visits with friends and family. One of my personal missions in life is to support America's farms and to help ensure a comfortable lifestyle for the families who operate them. I know of no better place to service that mission than as Director of NAFDMA. Can I be of any service to you?
